Flower Care Tips
Help your fresh flowers and vase arrangements stay beautiful for longer with these simple flower care tips.
Fresh water first
Remove the water pouch as soon as possible. Place your bouquet in a clean vase filled with fresh water, and change the water every 1–2 days.
Trim the stems
Cut 1–2 cm from the base of each stem on a 45° angle before placing them in water. Re-trim every few days to help your flowers drink.
Remove lower leaves
Remove any foliage that sits below the waterline to keep the water clean and your flowers fresher for longer.
Keep flowers cool
Display your bouquet in a cool spot away from direct sunlight, heaters, air conditioning and drafts.
Keep away from fruit
Ripening fruit releases ethylene gas, causing flowers to age faster. Keep your bouquet away from fruit bowls to enjoy it for longer.
Caring for floral foam arrangements
If your flowers are arranged in floral foam, gently top up the foam with fresh water each day to keep it fully hydrated.
Remove fading blooms
As flowers naturally fade, remove spent blooms to encourage the remaining flowers to shine and keep your arrangement looking its best.
